I took my new shoes for a test run...

I don't expect blisters from new shoes, but if I get a few blisters I wouldn't be shocked. No big deal. But I've never gotten blood blisters before! My feet were killing me during my run last night and when I got home I saw two large blood blisters on the sides of my feet. Ugh!
Any ideas on how to prevent this in the future? These are brand new $130 shoes so I don't want to just toss them!

  1. How far did you run? Could you feel it when you were running? I might give a different pair of socks a try.... unless the store will take them back??

  2. It was about 14 miles, but I've never had blood blisters with the same distance - and same socks - before. I felt some pinching while I ran but I ignored I'm paying, though, because I had to take 3 days off!
I think I am going to buy some new socks today and give them a try. Any suggestions?
