Blogger humble pie

3:06:12 at RnR New Orleans 2012. I did not make my goal of 3:05. In fact, I ran a very foolish race and paced like a complete moron. I am off to eat a huge slice of humble pie. Actually, I think some real pie sounds pretty good right now.
This is how I felt about this race.

  1. Lol @ your picture!

Girl, a 3:06 is still a PHENOMENAL time, especially when you haven't been feeling well!

Fantastic job. I don't think you need any humble pie. I think you should eat regular pie and lots of it to celebrate!

    1. Thanks! I don't know how David got a picture at that point - I was in such a crowd! He shot it at 180th/sec with his 18 - 55 zoom lens. I think all my races have given him good practice at panning ;-)

  12. Gracie, that may very well be my favorite photo that I've seen up in the blog world. Your face is priceless. And you look SO LEGIT!!! Because you are legit.

And check out all those neon shoes prancing across the bottom of the screen.

I am SO freakin proud of you, what an amazing PR!!! I don't care if you feel like you need to be humbled, because you DON'T!

  16. we all gotta eat that sometimes. hey, so long as u learn from those 'stupid mistakes' and try not to make them in the future then the race is hardly a waste in the long run. :)
