Yikes! I know the feeling of having someone ask you an awkward question. I get that a lot the opposite way - at my husband's 10-year high school reunion, someone asked him if I was his sister (because they thought I looked too young to be his wife)! Who brings their sister to their high school reunion?? I get carded at Wal-Mart when I buy a rated-R DVD and I've been mistaken for the age of 12 when I don't wear makeup and have my hair in a ponytail. I am 26 - it's frustrating but people tell me I'll appreciate looking younger one day, and I guess it's better than being mistaken for much older.
The first F master's finisher in some of the smaller races I have been in have raced 10ks in the 36 minute range and marathons in 2:40's- 2:50's. I am 37 and would take it well. :)
Ouch, indeed! Kind of like asking a non-pregnant woman when she is due!
ReplyDelete^^What she said!!^^
DeleteShe clearly wasn't wearing her contacts.
ReplyDeleteAlways better to ask a vague question!
