That is just batsh!t crazy IMO - especially since they had to move his HS to virtual due to multiples cases on the VB team... Ay yi yi. I do not know what I would do if i was you. None of your options seem 'good'. I'm sorry you are dealing with that!

I got a super cheap $10 costume for paul for his first halloween - a hedgehog. We did not trick or treat but I got together with some mom friends and he wore it a bit on halloween so our neighbors could see him. Last year we borrowed a duck costume from friends. This year Paul kind of gets Halloween since we read a lot of halloween books. He wants to be a dinosaur so I ordered one for him from amazon. I am not crafty enough to try to make one and I figure it will be money well-spent as we can start to build up a dress-up collection. We are not trick or treating, though. Our block is doing an egg hunts for the littles and we'll hide bags of candy for the bigger kids. I feel like that's safer than trick or treating. our case numbers are rising here so we need to be careful. Plus we found out a classmate of Paul's tested positive for covid over the weekend so he's home with us for the next 9 work days... Good times. This virus sucks so much and I just dread the winter months... I know people are going to make bad decisions and see people indoors w/out masks so the virus will keep spreading. :( Lisa from Lisa's Yarnshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05335500882510597919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1457833116563861494.post-10925272724345210872020-10-12T10:55:07.598-05:002020-10-12T10:55:07.598-05:00That hysterectomy decision is just a really really...That hysterectomy decision is just a really really hard choice. Paul didn't walk until 16 months and it really bothered me, which is dumb since it's out of my control. But his doctor reminded me that she couldn't see him walking before 16-18 months since he had a 95th percentile head on a 4th percentile baby... I actually don't think the transition to walking was all that bad. I think the transition to crawling is a little harder because you go from being able to leave them in one place to having them end up anywhere!! But even that wasn't so bad and we are the weird parents who never put up a baby gate/did all that much baby proofing, besides attaching the tv to the tv stand w/ straps. He did have one fall down the stairs, but they are carpeted and it wasn't that bad... We did some hiking with Paul when he was around that age and he really enjoyed it since he was forward facing. I tried using the carrier for a hike this spring and that was a disaster - I guess he has outgrown it! If we hiked more, I would get one of those hiking backpacks, but we don't have great hiking around us!

Paul is similar to your guy in restaurants.
