I think that here in the South we gotta take it easy and pay attn to the signals our body gives us. The heat and humidity do a toll!

I don't understand how people run at 3pm/the middle of te day. I guess I'm weaker mentally!Lindsayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17720800873803974929noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1457833116563861494.post-3876022156224385892012-07-07T08:09:14.220-05:002012-07-07T08:09:14.220-05:00I ususally use summers to just keep a base of abou...I ususally use summers to just keep a base of about 10 miles, get in a little hill work, run a few 5ks and 10ks for fun, etc. I've had a September or October marathon before, which was a little more challenging, but still usually gave me a break for the hottest summer months. I like having a summer to just play and keep the cooler temps for more intense racing and training.Janehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13375539923540548343noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1457833116563861494.post-60134193832422239152012-07-06T18:00:48.418-05:002012-07-06T18:00:48.418-05:00for me it is take it easy outside because it is to...for me it is take it easy outside because it is too hot here already and if it is above 90 I go to the gym and hit the TM.Carolinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01784257254057007640noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1457833116563861494.post-31828473281881223722012-07-05T17:39:54.071-05:002012-07-05T17:39:54.071-05:00Last summer was my 1st on the Gulf Coast. My race paces suffered GREATLY.

This summer I've stuck with outdoor running, and while I've slowed a little, my workouts are still pretty consistent (a little less speedwork, a little more long-slow-distance).

I think I'm happier with the (sweaty!) results.Beth (i run like a girl)http://i-run-like-a-girl.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1457833116563861494.post-38445255934377705522012-07-05T12:20:36.661-05:002012-07-05T12:20:36.661-05:00it doesn't get too hot here in Kenya-still coo...it doesn't get too hot here in Kenya-still cool for morning runs. but in Kuwait, when it got very hot, I would be slogging it on the treadmill-which I hateRobynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15187139806941283170noreply@blogger.com
