Stretch and foam roll the hell out of your hip flexor!
Deeptiluzfelichahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17511038373920091126noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1457833116563861494.post-88690341811508628542016-02-04T11:28:58.784-06:002016-02-04T11:28:58.784-06:00Boo. My knee swelled up to the size of a cantaloupe and I couldn't bend it. For me ice & rest were the only things that helped. It's never come back so I don't even know what the underlying cause was.Angela Knottshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01596658700954456205noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1457833116563861494.post-85156322669107483552016-02-03T22:08:04.822-06:002016-02-03T22:08:04.822-06:00I just stress about all injuries now. I wouldn't stress over it. Just keep stretching you hips and groin area on the inside of your leg by your hamstring. That seems to help me.
Jim ... 50after40https://www.blogger.com/profile/14165153305680378261noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1457833116563861494.post-16940956655939619722016-02-02T19:59:19.548-06:002016-02-02T19:59:19.548-06:00My R knee started bothering me after my long run o...My R knee started bothering me after my long run on Sunday. My chiropractor told me it was likely because of a tight IT band. I didn't realize how tight my IT band was until he started doing his ART magic on it. Yowzers!!!!! Made me almost tear up it hurt so bad. I was shocked because when I foam roll that area, it's not that uncomfortable. Having someone get in there with their fingers and dig at your fascia is a different story. Maybe you can get back in with your PT and see what he thinks? Your IT band might be the culprit as well. If my ...I've got my own knee issues right now. If my leg is unsupported and I try to go from straight to bent, searing pain in my knee. But no pain while running or otherwise. I'm hoping to hobble through the race. If you decide you want to approach it as a fun run, let's meet up. One of my running buddies has agreed to run the first half with me at about a 3:55 pace, and then we'll both reevaluate, and there's a good chance I'm going to slow down and enjoy since there's no hope of a PR or BQ at that point. Hope the time off helps your knee. I'm giving mine 4 days off (for Mardi Gras). I am convinced a combo of yoga and strength training has kept my runner's knee at bay (knock on wood).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
