Although you do point out - quite correctly so - that the rate of improvement decreases with time, this alone does not point out that mileage is better than speed-work for speed. Actually, mileage is good for mileage, and speed-work -for, eh, speed work!

Anyway, I'm hooked :)blahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09594770860183169573noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1457833116563861494.post-974370626484704832012-04-06T18:51:22.854-05:002012-04-06T18:51:22.854-05:00I was honestly totally fascinated by this. It has felt so ambiguous to me before... Had a smile at your disclaimer in the speed work department :)
Thanks for sharing this Gracie!Rainahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14118022681297462844noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1457833116563861494.post-43372666477357383732012-01-29T20:09:04.061-06:002012-01-29T20:09:04.061-06:00ok so my last post was premature.....you have adde...ok so my last post was premature.....you have added speed work. You are lucky to live so close to it; I used to drive unless I was doing a long run, and then I would do an out and back. I lived in the lower Garden district.

Thanks for the advice! It seems like we all do things a little bit differently!
